  • 1.5-hour paddle boarding lesson with a qualified Instructor
  • 3-hour Intro to Watersports – Using 3 craft – Paddle Boards, Kayaks and Canoes
  • Learn how to Paddle Board, Kayak and canoe on the peaceful River Stour. Great for beginners
  • Learn how to self rescue and how to keep yourself safe on the water
  • These are Private 1 to 1 sessions, private family sessions and group sessions, max 8 per group (min 3) of similar abilities
  • Supervised tours are also available
These sessions are available on certain mid weekdays and weekends each month. Days to be confirmed on enquiry.

Useful info

Pub Rules and Parking

– A launch pass is required when launching your own craft
– No private launching until the pub is open
– Only food and drink purchased from the pub, to be consumed – NO PICNICS
– Please try to travel in the least number of cars as possible. Parking is limited and this is better for the environment.
– The Paddle Company car park can be located next to The Henny Swan, in the farmers’ field. (No overnight parking)

Supervision & restrictions

– We offer both Supervised Sessions and Lessons. Please check out the details on the experience page before booking.
– Before every session we will provide a safety and paddle briefing.
– Supervised sessions are currently only being run from The Henny Swan site (Mid Week Only)
– Lessons run multiple weekdays and weekends throughout the season
– Children are allowed on lessons. But please be aware these can be physical, and you will get wet.
– Please stay safe, this is a working environment, located in a busy car park.

Who is it suitable for?

– This sport is suitable for ages 7 and over.
– If booking children on a lesson, a adult or guardian should join them.
– You will learn how to paddle, turn and get back on a board. Please be prepared to get wet.

Safety information

– Buoyancy aids are recommended and must be worn at all times.
– Leashes are supplied with every board. These must be worn at all times when on the water.
– All participants must be able to swim; we do not recommend Paddle Boarding or canoeing for non-swimmers.
– You cannot be under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst on the crafts.
– Children under the age of 18 must be always accompanied by an adult

Additional info

– We supply the paddleboard (or Canoes), the paddle, Buoyancy aid, and Wet shoes. We also have dry bags and phone cases if required.
– Bring a change of clothes and towel– Just in case!
– Dress for the weather. Shorts and Ts are fine in the summer. Wetsuits recommended in the lower season. No jeans or hoodies.
– Bring sun lotion and water on hot days.
– Please turn up 15 minutes before your booking for a safety and paddle briefing.
– Wetsuits not available.
