We are a family run business and have a passion for the water. We have a desire to get more people involved in the wonderful sport of Paddle Boarding. And more people to enjoy our beautiful UK waterways.
Why Paddle Boarding?
Paddle Boarding is one of the fastest growing sports, its an accessible and affordable way to get out on the river and a great way to get fit and have some fun. Our inflatable boards are the best money can buy, high quality, versatile and pack down in to the boot of a car, they are also easily transported on foot, with a excellent designed bag that has wheels and back pack straps – they’re great for a day out with family and friends. We really hope that we can help you get out on the water and enjoy this amazing sport.
How It Works
Every Experience Is Different
Weekday/Weekend Paddles
All our boards are the same quality no matter if you order online or next to a waterway. Go to our booking page and book the date, time (daytime or evening) and duration you need. Turn up to the riverside location 15 minutes before your booking so we can give you a safety and paddle instruction briefing. And off you go.
Supervised sessions/Guided tours
If you are nervous about paddle boarding or have young children who want to give it a try, we also offer supervised sessions, or you just want one of our team to show you the magical River Stour then a guided tour is for you. Please contact us directly via the booking page, fill in the booking form and we will contact you within 24hrs to book your session. Alternatively, phone us and we can design a package around your needs. You can then turn up to the riverside location 15 minutes before your booking so we can give you a safety and paddle instruction briefing.
Long Term Hire
If you would like to hire our boards for more than 1 day, please contact us via phone or go to booking page and fill in the booking form. We will get back to you within 24hrs.
We offer hire from 1 day to 14 days, we can reserve the days you wish to hire, we send the kit via tracked mail three days before your rental date. When you’re done you return the kit in the same box with a pre-paid shipping label . You only pay for the days you want to use (NOT the travel days) and the more days you hire for the cheaper the rate! Or if its local we can personally deliver or free collection.
Group Bookings
If you run a club, want to go out with work, or have a party, Hen or stag do to organise, maybe you just have a big group who want to try out paddle boarding. We can design a package around your needs. You can then meet us at our waterside base, or we can deliver/post to your door or location of your choice.
Please contact us directly via the booking page, fill in the booking form and we will contact you within 24hrs to book your session. Alternatively, phone us and we can discuss your requirements and get you booked in.
Night, Sunrise, Sunset paddles
For night, sunset and sunrise paddles, please Go to our booking page and book, select the activity you would like, also the date and time you need. Turn up to the riverside location 20 minutes before your booking so we can give you a safety and instruction briefing. And off you go.
Note: We will only be offering these sessions at certain times, so availability will be limited.

Meet The Paddle Company Family
Richard Jiggins
I am the owner and founder of The Paddle Company. I have been paddle boarding for several years and fell in love with it instantly. Sadly, I was made redundant from my job I held for 18 years. However, that gave me the drive to start a business that will give me the time to do the things I love. You will see me most days down by the river, or paddle boarding, come say Hi.
Jordan Snaith
I’m sure many of you know this face, he has been my sidekick throughout The Paddle Company journey. Jordan is a sports coach in schools, so he brings a wealth of knowledge from his sports background. You will mainly see Jordan at weekends and during school holidays at our riverside base.
Rachel Jones
Rachel is the newest member of the team. Rachel will be customer focused, so when you phone for bookings or have a query, you will hear her beautiful voice. She will also be head of marketing and run the social media side of the business.
Joe Ward
We will have a new face next to the river this year. Joe will be greeting our customers and helping you in and out the water throughout your paddle experience. Joe has a passion for paddle sports and has many years experience dealing with customers.
